Richmond Rooftop Escape @ The Graduate

Hi there! It’s just me, overlooking the city of Richmond, with a cocktail in hand. Looking to catch a summer sunset? The Byrd House at the Graduate Richmond is high above the pollen, which makes it a refuge for allergy sufferers, like myself. Also, the view is great.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend 🙂

I took a half-day off of work to go up and visit my friend Thomas (follow him on Instagram @jt_womack) in DC to photograph the gorgeous buildings and scenery of the nation’s capitol while the spring greens and blooms are lush.

Friday afternoon in May means, few tourists, blue skies, and decent weather, though it was a little hot. For expensive as it is to live int DC, there is so much to do that is free of charge. We took full advantage of the museums and attractions. I also walked 7 miles and deserved a bowl of pasta when I got back to Richmond.

Like my little bird tee-shirt? It’s one of my summer favorites – a vintage 1970’s top, I found it a few years back. Paired with my trusty combat boots – because, being practical is important when walking 7 miles in an afternoon!
