Under the Summer Blooms

And just like that, we find ourselves in mid-July. Time is going exceptionally fast since we were traveling the majority of June for our honeymoon. It’s nice for things to slow down a little. There are also some very pretty pink flowers blooming this time of year. I love the deep pinks.

I found this 1960’s powder blue dress a few weekends ago. It was in need of some major cleaning and repairs, but I was able to bring it back to life. To my delight, this dress was a perfect fit on me and also something I could wear to work. So, naturally, I kept it.

About 5 minutes after taking these pictures, it started to rain. Then, it started to storm, and of course, my umbrella is Missing in Action. I waited out the storm in my car. Richmond thunderstorms are fleeting. An hour later, you would have never known it even sprinkled except the fact that my freshly pressed dress will need cleaned, once again.
