In Pittsburgh for the weekend? You better visit the strip district (before the city demolishes this charming, gritty area of town to make way for 750k one bedroom condos).  My girlfriend and I went out for an afternoon of overcast weather and exploration.

Like brick warehouses with back alleys? The strip has those. Like graffiti walls and half shelled out buildings? The strip has those. Like really good food, donuts and coffee? The strip has all those things, too. While the strip does have a peculiar fishy, garbage smell, it is fun to explore with plenty to photograph for those looking for interesting places to shoot. Did I mention the food? Check out Smallman Galley for a food hall style selection of gourmet fare.

I’m wearing a mash-up of vintage styles. My lace blouse was once an Edwardian dress. I paired this with an 80’s denim pencil skirt. The slouch beaded bag is vintage from the 1970’s, which is nice and easy to carry. Also, I got my 1940’s style turban from Rona Handmade Turbans.
